2015 Honda Fit Recalled for Incorrect Interior Cover

The 2015 Honda Fit is already being recalled.

The Japanese automaker has announced a voluntary recall for the 2015 Fit which affects approximately 6,200 units. According to Honda, the A-pillar interior cover sold in other markets could have been improperly installed on vehicles intended for sale in the U.S. during vehicle assembly. An incorrect A-pillar cover could alter the performance of the side curtain airbag during deployment.

The company is not aware of any crashes or injuries related to the recall, which was discovered during quality inspections at the factory. Honda is asking that all owners of the affected vehicles visit the dealership as soon as they receive a notification. The company will begin mailing out the recall notifications beginning September 25, 2014.
