Porsche 918 Spyder Recalled for Rear Control Arm Issue

Even expensive exotics are susceptible to recalls.

The Porsche 918 Spyder is being recalled due to an issue with its rear-axle control arms with the German automaker recalling five units that were manufactured from May 7, 2014 to June 18, 2014. While the recall notice doesn’t go into details, Porsche revealed that the rear-axle control arms could potentially break, causing difficulty controlling the vehicle.

Porsche will notify the affected owners and dealerships will inspect and replace the control arms if necessary, free of charge. A notification schedule on the recall has not yet been announced.
